![]() Being helpful and answering questions (in general, not just this sub) also entices newcomers to feel more welcome and interested in the field. It's really not helpful, and even if it was the answer I'm looking for, what's missing is a lot of background and knowledge that comes with working with that software every day that a textbook can't offer.Īsking here gives a more direct response, an opportunity for follow up, or for other people to ask questions as well. The second is a youtube video that is text-overlays going over what the feature tree is and does, next is key terms, next is an hour overview of cam. I google it, copy and pasting your exact text, and the first response is from 2011 and says "It's still in edit mode". I've gotten one answer in this post, and it's given me the answer, a reason it's blue, a way to quickly resolve it, and a bit more general information. The reason why is because there's something to be gained for direct sharing of knowledge as opposed to just "google it you idiot". I'll answer the dumbest questions people ask in this sub and any other, as well as in real life and my job. Why do people post such simple things when they could just google it? ![]()
